On May 14, Connect Community Village proudly hosted the 3rd Annual Salute to Valor: Operation Welcome Home at the Center for Rural Development. The evening brought together veterans, community leaders, supporters, sponsors, and friends for a meaningful celebration honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s Vietnam veterans.
The event was filled with gratitude, reflection, and fellowship as attendees gathered to recognize those who answered the call to serve. From the reception and silent auction to the shared meal and inspiring program, the evening highlighted the strength of a community united in support of veterans and their families.
A special thank you goes to our featured guest speaker, Lieutenant Christopher P. Gifford, whose distinguished military career and heartfelt remarks reminded us of the courage, dedication, and resilience demonstrated by service members across generations. His message resonated deeply with those in attendance and reinforced the importance of ensuring our veterans know they are valued, remembered, and welcomed home.
